In this section, the details of those ahadith will be presented which contain the prophecies about ProphetMuhammad
. Before going in to the details of those Ahadith (sing. hadīth) first we should understand the term of Hadith in simplest words. It is defined as:
Sayings, acts, silent approval or disapproval of the Holy Prophet is called Hadith.
According to some other scholars, the words of companions of Prophet
are also sometimes called the hadith. The ahadith mentioned in this chapter also consist the statements of those scholars who were either Christians or Jews, but when they found out all the teachings and attributes of the Holy Prophet such as physical appearance. spiritual rank, nature and miracles as the prophet
, they believed in him. They accepted the oneness of Allah and they also accepted the faith of Prophet Muhammad
.
A noteworthy point is that they were not ordinary Christians and Jews, but were the scholars and priests or even Kings of their localities like Negus (Najashi). All the narrations presented here are according to the rules and regulation of narrations and traditions of ahadith discussed by Mohaddiseen (scholars of hadith). Moreover, all these events are also present in the history written by Arab Jews and Christians.
Prophet Muhammad also clearly justifies and gives details of all the predictions about himself in it. Allah states the following about Prophet Muhammad
in the The Holy Quran:
The way We have sent to you a Noble Messenger from among you, who recties to you Our verses and purifies you, and teaches you the Book and sound wisdom, and teaches you what you did not know.
The pointwise explanation of the above verse brings out the following details:
Moreover, by the help of his ahadith, he guides a path of wisdom and sagacity. As the Holy Quran states:
"And O dear Prophet , were it not for Allah's munificence and His mercy upon you, a group among them would have wished to deceive you, and they only mislead themselves and will not harm you at all, and Allah has sent down upon you the Book and wisdom, and taught you all what you did not know", and upon you is Allah's great munificence."
It is clear that all the actions of the Holy Prophet
like walking, eating, and working are according to the directives and guidelines of Allah. Similarly, ahadith are the decrees and commands of Almighty Allah, which are given by our Holy Prophet
in his own words. As the Holy Quran states:
"And He does not say anything by his own desire. It is but a divine revelation, which is revealed to him."
It implies that all the deeds of the Holy Prophet's
life, such as walking, talking, and eating etc. are according to the directives of Allah and whatever he says that is the expression of Allah's command. Therefore, the Holy Quran is known as "وصى متنو" (The revelation which is read or recited), and the hadith is known as "وحی غیر متلو" (The revelation which is not read or recited but is from the side of Allah). In this paradigm, we can say that the hadith is the complete and true explanation of the Holy Quran and the wishes of Allah. It clarifies the teachings of Islam sterilised and cleared.
The subsequent discussion will bring forth the predictions regarding Holy Prophet found in the ahadith
When the Holy Prophet
saw that Addie Bin Hatim
wearing a cross around his neck, the Holy Prophet
recites the following verse of the Holy Quran:
“They have taken their rabbis, and their monks as Gods besides Allah and (also) Messiah the son of Maryam; and they were not commanded except to worship only One God – Allah; none is worthy of worship except Him; Purity is to Him from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him).”
After reciting this verse, the Holy Prophet
gave its complete explanation. As Addie Bin Hatim
narrates:
“I visited the Holy Prophetwhen I was a Christian. I was wearing the cross of gold chain. The Holy Prophet
said to me: ‘Addie took this idol off of your neck.’, so I did the same as the Holy Prophet
directed and took it off forever. At that moment, the Holy Prophet
recited the verse of Surah Al-Tawba: (اتخذوا أحبارهم ورهبانهم أربابا من دون اللّٰه) when the Holy Prophet
completed his recitation; I said to him: ‘We never worship them.’ Having listened to my statement, the Holy Prophet
said: “Do the act which is made legitimate (Halal) by Allah. They do not make it illegitimate (Haram), and you accept it and make illegitimate (Haram) by Allah the legitimate, and you make it legitimate (Halal) for yourself?” Addie said: ‘Yes we do.’ The Holy Prophet
replied: ‘This is their worship.’
It signifies the true Lord and worthy of being worshipped by the people is Allah alone, but they give this rank to their grandparents, ancestors, and their false saints. In this hadith, the Holy Prophet
clearly justified the meaning of this Quranic and portrayed this hadith as a proof of his true prophecy.

Ayesha (the mother of the faithful believers) says: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise gain till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira… Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" Allah's Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Jibril) whom Allah had sent to Musa. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly."
Maisara says the Holy Prophet Muhammad(before the declaration of prophecy) used to go (for worshipping) outside and listened to a voice of someone (unseen). The person used to say: O Muhammad! He explained the hadith. . . Then he came to Waraqa bin Naufal and told him its details. (After listening to this) Waraqa said: “Congratulations to the Prophet
congratulations, congratulations. I am the witness that you are that Prophet
whose predictions were given by Eesa , he said that after me one prophet would come, his name will be Ahmed, and now I witness that you are that last Prophet
of Allah and the time is near when Allah will order you to do Jihad and if I am alive until that time I will fight in your company.” Then Waraqa died, so the Holy Prophet
said: “I have seen him in the heaven and he was wearing a green dress.”
These two traditions signify the reality that Muhammad
was the prophet prophesized by Jesus
and was awaited the most by all scholars and intellectuals of that time. The event of being conferred upon the prophethood was congratulated warmly by Warqah bin Naufal. It means Muhammad
was the only person who was fulfilling the criterion of being prophet of God at that particular time. Moreover, all the mentioned signs and qualities could be found only in his personality. Though Warqa could not become his companion due to his demise before the proclamation of prophethood, but it was his earnest desire to take oath of allegiance at the nand of Prophet Muhammad
to revert to Islam.
Another hadith is narrated as:
Abu Moosa Ashari states that the Holy Prophet ordered us to go to the country of Negus (Najashi). Then, stated the hadith. Najashi said: "I witness that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah about whom Eesa bin Maryam (Jesus) prophesied. If I were not entangled in the state's responsibility; I would work myself to achieve the honor of holding his slippers."
Imam Ahmed, Ibne Abi Sheeba, and Hakim stated the same hadith with the addition of these words: Najashi said:
"O Groups of Ethiopia, Qissisein, and Priests! By God, they (Companions of Prophet ) did not add anything to this (what we used to say) even equal to the grain. Welcome, and welcome to him where you have come from, I witness that he is the prophet of Allah and he is the one whose discussion, we find in the Gospel, and he is the prophet about whom Eesa bin Maryam had given us the prediction. Wherever you want to stay, you might do so. By God! If I had not the responsibility of the kingdom (of this country) where I am, I would let him perform Wudu by holding his shoes myself." 10
The Christian king of Ethiopia, Negus ultimately reverted to Islam. He lived and died as a true believer and follower of Prophet Muhammad and his funeral prayer was offered by Muhammad in the absence of his coffin. His words are themselves the proof that he knew about the prophet's arrival because of the teaching of Jesus
Abdullah Bin Salam said: “In Torah, all the attributes of Prophetare written and (it is also written that) Eesa will bury next to him.” He further said that Abu Modud said: “In the Holy shrine of Prophet
a place for a grave is free.”
Abdullah bin Salam was the grand Jewish scholar of his time. He found that the Muhammad was exactly the same person whom about clear tidings were mentioned in the Old Testament. The sign he mentioned in the Old Testament is found true and un-eliminated even today as the space for one grave is still empty for Jesus
. According to Muslim belief Jesus will come back to this world before the day of resurrection and after living for about forty years he will pass away and will be buried by the side of Prophet Muhammad
in the holy city of Madina in Saudi Arabia.
Abu Musa Al-Asha'ri said: "Abu Talib departed to Syria, and the Holy Prophetwent along with him with some older men from the Quraish. When they came across the priest, they stopped there and began setting up their camp, and the priest came out to them. Before that, they used to pass by him, and he would not come out, nor pay attention to them. He said: "They were setting up their camp when the priest was walking amidst them until he came and took the hand of the Messenger of Allah. Then he said: 'This is the master of the men and jinn, this is the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds. Allah will elevate him as a mercy to the human beings and jinn.' Then some of the older people from the Quraish said: 'How do you know?' He said: 'When you people came along from the road, not a stone nor a tree was left, but it prostrated, and they do not prostrate except for a Prophet. Moreover, I can recognize him by the seal of the Prophethood which is below his shoulder blade, like an apple.' Then he went back, and made some food, and when he brought it to them, he (the Prophet was tending to the camels. So he said: 'Send for him.' So he came, and there was a cloud over him that was shadowing him. When he got near to the people, he found that they had got him to the tree's shade. So when he sat down, the shade of the tree leaned towards him. He (the priest) said: 'Look at the shade of the tree leaning towards him." He said: "So while he was standing over them, telling them not to take him to Rome with him - because if the Romans were to see him, they would recognize him by his description, and they would kill him” - he turned, and there were seven people who had come from Rome. So he faced them and said: 'Why have you come?' They said: 'We came because this Prophet is going to appear during this month, and there isn't a road left except that people have been sent to it, and we have been informed of him, and we have been sent to this road of yours.' So he said: 'Is there anyone better than you behind you?' They said: 'We only have news of him from this road of yours.' He said: 'Do you think that if there is a matter which Allah wishes to bring about, there is anyone among the people who can turn it away?' They said: 'No’. He said: "So they gave him their pledge, and they stayed with him. And he said: 'I ask you by Allah, which of you are his guardian?' They said: 'Abu Talib.' So he kept adjuring him until Abu Talib returned him, (back to Makkah) and he sent Abu Bakr and Bilãl with him. Moreover, the priest gave him provisions of Ka'k (a type of bread) and olive oil."
This story tells us that the tangible signs of prophethood of Muhammad
could be observed even by the true scholars of other religions like Christianity. Bowing of trees before him, recitation of article of faith (Kalma-e-Shahadat) by stones, the continuous canopy of clouds over him all the time to provide him shade from the scorching heat of Arabia, mark of prophethood below his shoulder blade etc. were the unchallengeable and irrefutable signs of his apostleship and were easily noticeable by those who were the scholars of the previous divine books and religions in which all the signs of Muhammad’s
arrival were available.
Abu Sualeh states that Ka’ab said: “We found this matter written (in our previous Divine Books) that Prophet Muhammadis not violent, nor hard-hearted nor like the people who make noises in the market. He is not the person who takes revenge of evilness by immorality. Rather, he forgives (even to the enemies) and let them off. The people of his Ummah do praise thankfulness and highness to Allah excessive. They praise Him in every place, on every top, and they will tighten leg sheets (Teh Bund) on their waists. They perform Wudu in their hands, legs and face (by water), and a caller calls them (Muezzin for Prayers) in the air, their alignment for Jihad and Prayers is similar. In the nights, their voice of reciting the Holy Quran is like the buzz-hum of honey bees. His
prosperous birthplace will be Makkah, and the place of migration will be Medina, and his Ummah’s rule will also be in Syria.”
All qualities mentioned in this hadith about the personality of Muhammad
were testified not only by Muslims but also by his non-Muslim rivals. The comprehensive detail has already been discussed in the previous pages. As far as praises and glorification of Almighty Allah is concerned, there is no single nation who can exceed from Muslims in this matter because they have different and unique prayer for every single occasion including a never ending echo of call for prayer (Azaan) that moves around the globe all the time, 24/ 7. Likewise, no prophet was born in Makkah before Muhammad
nor did any of them migrate to Madina who was attributed from the mentioned qualities. Both these are the holiest cities of Islam today although before his advent these cities were the centers of polytheism in Arabia.
Regarding this matter, another hadith is narrated as:
Zakwan Bin Abi Sualeh narrates from Ka’ab Al-Ahbar that (Previously Revealed Books comprised the distinct qualities of the Holy Prophet) it was written in the first line that Muhammad
is the Prophet of Allah (and Allah said:) he is My chosen virtuous person and a Prophet. He is neither violent nor hard-hearted and nor the person who makes noises in the markets. He does not take revenge of evilness by immorality. Rather, he forgives (even to the enemies) and let them off. His birth place will be Makkah and place of migration will be Madina and his rule will be in Syria. And it is mentioned in the second line that the people of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet
will be very grateful. They will praise Allah in every condition of prosperity and poverty. Moreover, they will praise Allah in every circumstance, in every situation, at every place. They will state the highness of Allah at every high place and position; they (for the sake of prayer) will be watchmen of the sun, wherever they are present. They will offer prayers at that time when its time will come, and they will tighten leg sheets (Teh bund) on their waists, and wash their hands, legs, and face. Their voices (while telling the Holy Quran) will be like the auditory sensation of honey bees at night.
This hadith proofs that Ka’ab Al-Ahbar not only found the details about Muhammad
but also the qualities of his beloved Ummah (nation) in the previous holy scriptures. It is a certain reality that no one can remain true Muslim until he/she praises the Almighty Allah in every situation. Purity of heart depends upon purity of body. Purity is said to be the half of the faith and the prerequisite of devotion is cleanliness of his body. All apparent and required parts of the body are to be washed properly for the legitimacy of devotional worship. It is an obligation upon every Muslim to offer five regular prayers a day in time. At night pious Muslims keep reciting the holy Quran in regular prayers and in their normal routine too. And these are the attributes which were found by Al-Ahbar in the available holy scriptures of his time.
Abdullah bin Abbas states that he asked Ka’ab Al-Ahbar, ‘What qualities do you find about the Holy Prophetin Torah?’ Ka’ab replied: ‘We find the blessed name of the Holy Prophet
in the Torah as Muhammad Bin Abdullah and that the Holy Prophet
will be born in Makkah and will migrate to Madina, and the Holy Prophet’s
rule will also be over Syria. And he will not be an indecent person and the bad sounds’maker in the market and he will not behave immorally in return of evilness. Rather, he will forgive (even to the enemies) and will let them off. People of his Ummah will be praiseful. They will praise Allah in the states of happiness and troubles. And (they) will express the greatness of Allah at every higher place and will perform Wudu of their body parts (face, hands, legs, etc.) and wear the leg sheet (Teh bund) above their ankles and form such a line in prayers as they practice on the battlefield. In their Mosques, their sounds of reciting the Quran will be like the humming of bees, and the sounds of the callers (means Muazzin) will be heard everywhere in the atmosphere.’
Like previous hadith of Zakwan Bin Abi Sualeh
this hadith is narrated by Abdullah bin Abbas
who also listened to Al-Ahbar explaining the attributes and distinctive features of Prophet Muhammad
and his followers. History shows that Syria came under the sway of Islam at early period of caliphate and this country remains to be Muslim so far. Remaining attributes are also noticeable only in Muslims till date.
Hassan bin Sabit states, ‘By Allah! I was of seven or eight years old and understood all that I listened to. Once I heard a Jew in Yathrib (presently called Madina) who was shouting over and over again and saying, although I was listening: ”O group of Jews!” Then all of them gathered around him and asked: ‘What happened to you?’ He said: ‘Star of Ahmed has arisen who has born this night.’
In this hadith tiding of the birth and in future the advent of Muhammad
is given in a way of warning by a Jew who had the complete knowledge about the appearance of the final messenger. He was even aware of his name ‘Ahmed’ which was not that common in the Arabian society. His statement confirms the truthfulness of Muhammad’s
message and his prophethood as mentioned in the previous scriptures.
Abdullah Bin Abbas states, ‘I asked the Holy Prophet: O Prophet of Allah
! My parents would sacrifice over you, where were you when Prophet Adam was in the Heaven?’ He states that the Holy Prophet
smiled to the extent that his teeth appeared, then he said, ‘I was in his (Adam’s
) backbone and was settled on the ship of my father Noah
. And my light (Noor) was decanted in the backbone of Ibrahim
. My parents (grandparents and ancestors) had never met (each other) without Nikah. Allah had always transferred me from the purified backbones to the purified wombs. My trait is to be on the right path and whenever the two nations were formed, I was among the better nation. Allah accepted the promise from prophets to believe in my prophethood and to assist me. In the Torah and Gospel, the good news about me was told, every messenger expressed my qualities. Due to my light (Noor), the morning enlightens, and He taught me His book and the clouds were giving shadows because of me, and Allah granted me a name from His names. So that Throne’s Possessor is Mahmud, and I am Muhammad
, and Allah promised me that people will love me because of the Pond of Abundance (Haoz-e-Kausar). And I will be the first person to intercede, and I will be the first person whose intercession will be accepted. Allah brought forth me in the great era of my nation. The people of my Ummah are those who praise Allah. They are the people who enjoin good deeds and forbid the evil deeds.
his hadith proofs that Muhammad knew all the history of his forefathers including the time of the world of souls (Aalam-e-Arwah) by the revelation of Allah. He explained to Ibne Abbas
about the purpose of creation of humans and told him that it is to believe in the oneness of Allah and worship Him alone. He told him that Allah accepted the promise from prophets to believe in his prophethood and to assist him. In the Torah and Gospel, the good news about him were already told and every messenger expressed his qualities and informed about him to his nation. In another hadith, it is stated as:
Ka’ab Ahbar states that the Prophet Adam said, ‘My son, whenever you make remembrance (Zikr) of Allah, remember the name of Muhammad(along with Him) too. No doubt, I found his name written on the foundations of The Throne (of Allah). Although I was in the mid of the process between the soul and the sand, as I have observed all the skies by roaming and hadn’t found any place without the name of Muhammad
written on it. Without doubt, I saw Muhammad’s
name written on the throats of Hoor-e-Ain, over the leaves of the bamboos of the Palaces of Paradise, over the leaves of the Tuba tree, over the leaves of Sidratul Muntaha, over the eyes of the gatekeepers, and between the eyes of the Angels. So, do remember him excessively, no doubt the Angels continuously remember him (send Durood).
This hadith describes the significance of Muhammad
that his name is remembered even by celestial creatures and the first human being on earth. Adam
told his son, that the creatures of heaven glorify Almighty Allah all the time and the same they do with the name of Muhammad
. Adam
also informed his son that the angels continuously remember him (send peace and blessings), so you should do the same to be good in the sight of Allah.
Abbas states that his father, Abdul Muttalib told him: ‘Once I went to Yemen during winters, there I stayed with a great scholar of Jews - a person among the holders of Psalms (means the holder of the Divine Book), he asked me: ‘O Abdul Muttalib! Will you grant me permission to see some parts of your body?’ Abdul Muttalib said: ‘You are allowed to see except the private parts.’ Abdul Muttalib says: He looked in my one nostril and then looked the second by opening it and said: ‘I witness that there is the rule in your one hand and the prophecy in your second hand but we have read this speciality for Banu Zehra. How did it come to you?’ Abdul Muttalib replied: ‘I do not know.’ He asked: Do you have Sha’a? I said what is Sha’a? He said: Wife. I said: I do not have yet. He said: now after returning; do marry in Banu Zehra immediately. Then, Abdul Muttalib returned to Makkah and married Hala Binte Waheeb Bin Abd Munaaf bin Zehra from whom Hamza and Safia were born, and Abdullah Bin Abdul Muttalib married Syeda Amna Binte Weheb, from whom Prophetwas born.
This tradition signifies the religious and political importance of Muhammad’s
family and ancestors in the history of Arabia as mentioned by a Jewish scholar of Yemen. Every person who has even a little bit of knowledge regarding the early life of Muhammad
, knows that his arrival was famous among all people of Makkah before his birth and this hadith proves that this knowledge was spread throughout the continents including Yemen and its surroundings. People were not only aware about Muhammad’s
arrival but they also knew about his family, forefathers and even about their appearances.

Imam Abu Nua’em narrates from some of his Sheikhs that once Abdul Muttalib was sitting in Ka’aba along with a great priest of Najran who was his close friend. He was saying that we find the statement in our books about the birth of a messenger from the descendants of Ismailin this city of Makkah who will have these qualities… (The discussion was on while) the Holy Prophet
came in. The priest looked at the bright face, holy eyes, pious back and blessed steps of the Holy Prophet
contemplatively then cried aloud: he is that person, who is he to you? He said: He is my son. The priest said: This is not possible according to what we have read his father should not be alive, so Abdul Muttalib said: (Yea) He is my grandson. His father was passed away when he was in his mother’s womb. The priest said: You told the truth. Afterwards, Abdul Muttalib said to his sons: Protect this nephew of yours, don’t you take heed to what’s being said about him.
This hadith shows that a scholar of Najran recognized Prophet Muhammad
on the basis of his knowledge which he received from his forefather and divine books. He even confirmed from Abdul Muttalib
that Muhammad
would be born as an orphan and he would be looked after by his grandfather (Abdul Muttalib
) and uncle (Abu Talib) in his early life.
Namla Bin Abu Namla narrates from his father Abu Namla that the Jews of the tribe of Banu Quraiza used to study the details about the Holy Prophetin their books. And they used to teach their children too about the Holy Prophet’s
qualities, names and the arrival towards us through migration. However, when the Holy Prophet
arrived, they began to get jealous of him and disobeyed him. They said that he is not that Prophet.
This hadith is also an evidence that the Jews of different tribes specially of Banu Quraiza knew about the advent of Muhammad
and used to educate their children about the arrival of this Holy Prophet
. They even knew that the Prophet
will migrate towards Madina and would settle in that holy land, but still, they did not accept his prophethood and message due to their superiority complex, and due to the fear that if they accepted his religion, they would be deprieved from the current benefits which they received from their followers.
Abu Huraira states that the Holy Prophetcame to Bait-e-Madaris (name of the place) and said (to Jews): ‘Whoever is the greatest scholar among you, bring him to me.’ They referred Abdullah Bin Sooriya. Then the Holy Prophet
took him aside and reminded him about his religion and whatever Allah bestowed to (Bani Israel) them (such as) fed them ‘Man-o-Salwa,' granted the shadow of clouds over them. He then asked him by giving Allah’s promise, ‘Do you know I am the Prophet of Allah?’ He said: ‘I swear by God! Yes (I know) and no doubt the people of my nation also know all that what I know and no doubt your qualities and praise (Naat) are vindicated in the Torah, but they are jealous of you.’ The Holy Prophet
said: ‘And which thing is an obstruction for you (to embrace Islam)?’ He said: ‘I dislike it that I do anything against my nation and perhaps they would adopt you and accept Islam then I will also accept Islam.’
This hadith reveals the fact that Jewish religious scholars and common Jews had the perfect knowledge about Muhammad
through their holy scriptures. Abdullah bin Sooriya, a well-known Jewish religious scholar of that time confirmed and admitted the glad tidings about Muhammad
advent and personal qualities mentioned in their religious books but gave a silly reason for their obstruction to embrace Islam. This narration is one of the undeniable proof that Muhammad
was awaited the most by Jewish community but unfortunately on his arrival they showed enmity and waged wars against him.
Aamir Bin Rabia states that I heard Zaid Bin A’mar Bin Nufail was stating that: ‘I am waiting for that messenger who will be from the progeny of the Prophet Ismailand then from the sons of Abdul Muttalib. I don’t think so that I can find him, believe on him, endorse him and can give the witness that he is the Prophet. Therefore, if your life is long and you get able to see that Messenger, so give my greetings (Salam) to him, and I am describing you the appearance of that messenger so that he will not be hidden from you. I said: ‘Say please.’ He said: ‘He is neither very tall and nor short height (but he is of medium height), neither (on the body) of much hair nor less hair and redness stays forever in the holy eyes. There is the seal of Prophethood between both of his shoulders. His name is Ahmed, and this city (Makkah) is his place of birth and place of his revelation. Subsequently, his nation will expel him out; they will dislike the Shariah what that Prophet
would bring. Even that he will migrate towards Yathrib (Madina), then their faith will emerge there a lot (and will flourish) and beware! Do avoid, from anyone’s deception about him. No doubt, I made several rounds of the cities in search of the Religion of Ibrahim
, I used to ask from Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians, they used to say this religion is (coming) behind you. And they used to state the appearance of that Last Messenger alike that I stated to you and used to say that there is no messenger left except him. Aamir bin Rabia states that when I accepted Islam, I told the quote of Zaid Bin A’mar and also presented his greetings (Salam) to the Holy Prophet
. The Holy Prophet
answered his greetings (Salam) and prayed for blessings upon him and said: ‘No doubt I have seen him dragging his clothes (Daman) in paradise.’
Zaid bin Amr was the true seeker of the truth before the advent of Muhammad
. His quest took him far and wide and during his journeys he met with the religious scholars of Judaism, Christianity and Zoroastrianism and all religious scholars predicted in the light of their holy scriptures about the qualities of the final messenger that was to appear soon. Zaid bin Amr was waiting for the last messenger so that he could believe in him and endorse his message but he breathed his last before the advent of Muhammad
. He still conveyed his message to Aamir bin Rabia for the truth seekers to wait for Muhammad
and on finding him must not show reluctance to believe in him. Aamir bin Rabia found that all the qualities mentioned by Zaid bin Amr about the last messenger of Allah, sharply fit in the personality of Muhammad
, hence he became a follower of the Holy Prophet
. His conversion to Islam is the clear message for the truth seekers to acknowledge the truth and should not conceal it for some cheap worldly gains that will deprive them from the everlasting bliss of paradise. It is a proof that Zoroastrianism also had the clear teachings and tidings for the arrival of the last messenger of Allah in its religious scriptures as some of them mentioned in chapter six of this book and they are similar to the teaching of Judaism and Christianity.
Salama bin Waqsh states that a Jew was our neighbor in Madina. Once, he came before the advent (of the Holy Prophet) and started discussing the Day of Judgment, Heaven, and Fire; we asked that what are its signs? He said that their sign is the arrival of a Messenger who will emerge in this city (pointed towards Makkah). People asked when would this take place? He raised his sight towards the sky (although I was the youngest of the people at that time) and said until this young person concludes his age. Salama says that some nights and days passed, then Allah revealed His Messenger. Although that Jew was alive till that time, we all accepted Islam, but he became disbeliever because of jealousy and hostility.
This hadith tells that all the learned people of that time who had the special knowledge of the divine scriptures knew about the advent of Muhammad
and they used to discuss that matter openly to clarify the personality without any doubt. They knew all the signs of Muhammad’s
arrival were waiting for him.
Jewish Leviticus and Priests gave the news of the immediacy of the Holy Prophet's
arrival from them. Ibne Hasham also mentioned the story of Ibne Haiban in his (book of) Seerat who settled in Bani Quraiza by leaving the land of Syria. However, he died only two years before the Holy Prophet’s
emergence. When the time of his death closed, he said the following to Bani Quraiza:
'O Group of Jews! Do you know that for which reason I came out from such lush green land in an area where there is nothing except pains and hunger?" They said: 'Only you can know it better. He said: 'I came to this city only to wait for the emergence of the Last Messenger and that time has come nearby. I had a wish that he would emerge and I could follow him.
In this tradition, the advent of Muhammad
was reminded by the prominent Jewish elder, Haiban, that the very purpose of his settlement in the dry land of Arabia and leaving behind the green and fertile homeland was to wait for the emergence of the last prophet. It means the very purpose of his migration was to meet the last prophet Muhammad
and believe in him. He must have got this knowledge from Jewish scholars and Holy Scriptures. He further informed the Jews of Arabia the nearby arrival time of the last messenger and all this happened after two years of his death, Muhammad
appeared but Jews did not believe in him even though they were advised to do so by their elders and the previous prophets.

Saeed Bin Abdul Rehman bin Abzi narrates: (During the journey of Syria, Buhaira the Priest arranged a feast for Prophetand Abu Talib). This priest said to Abu Talib, ‘Do not pass from this area with your nephew because Jews are hostiles and this nephew of yours is the messenger of this Ummah which belongs to the tribe of Arab. Jewish people are jealous of him because they assume that, the Last Messenger
should be from Bani Israel. So stay cautious about your nephew.
In another hadith it is found as:
Dawud bin Husain states that the age of the Holy Prophetgot twelve years, then Abu Talib departed for Syria with a caravan for the sake of trade. Along the path, the caravan stayed with Buhaira - the Priest. Buhaira gave predictions about the Last Prophet
and advised Abu Talib for the protection of the Holy Prophet
. Abu Talib took him back to Makkah. The Holy Prophet
became young in the upbringing at Abu Talib’s place. Allah showered His blessings over the Holy Prophet
. That is why he used to protect and used to secure him from the unwanted issues and flaws. This is the discussion about the time when the Holy Prophet
became young by living in his society. Nevertheless, he was dominant in the entire nation in kindness and power. The best among the creations, the most well-mannered in the social environment, the best in conversation, the greatest in knowledge and trustworthiness, the most honest in speakers, who abstains from obscenity and giving torture, neither used slang language or seemed doing immorality to anyone, nor used to fight with anyone, neither found creating misunderstandings. Such good habits of goodness and mercy were collected by Allah in his great personality that the nation called him Trustworthy. It was the Holy Prophet’s
title in Makah. Abu Talib remained an enthusiast for the protection, looking after, for support and success of the Holy Prophet
till his death.
In this tradition Jewish antagonism towards Muhammad
and his holy mission is vividly stated by a Christian priest of Syria who was well aware about Muhammad’s
future in the light of his holy books. Buhaira was fully aware of the evil intention of Jews which shows that he must have had an interaction with Jewish scholars about his (Muhammad’s
) matter, who also knew about Muhammad’s
arrival and that he would be born from among children of Ishmael
and not of Israel. It shows that Jews were also waiting for the last prophet but from their own clan not from outside otherwise they knew all about our Prophet Muhammad’s
arrival.
This hadith is mentioning a special event in which Muhammad
was travelling with Abu Talib towards Syria. A Jew of Syria who was well aware that the Jews of his locality are against to the upcoming prophet because of his birth in the children of Ishmael instead if Israel, informed his uncle to take him back for his safety. Jews who were well aware about the arrival of Muhammad
had the hatred against him. They used to believe in their racial superiority and had strong conviction of being the most chosen people by Almighty Allah, thus superior to everyone. Due to this superiority complex they wanted all other people to remain subjugate to them and serve their interests. They also had the confidence and certainty that the institution of prophethood will remain with them till the appearance of final messenger. Jews refused to accept Muhammad
as the messenger of God and became so hostile towards him that they attempted to assasimate him many times but fortunately could not do it. It is a proof that they knew it wor? well, and it is the central point of our discussion.

Hercules’s quote which he said in the last in the incident of Abu Sufyan: “If he is similar to that you stated, then he will make the ground of my feet, his country. And I knew that he would emerge, but this was not (my) idea that he would be from you.”
This hadith shows that the news of the last messenger’s arrival was not only known to the religious scholars but the kings, other officials and common lay men were also well aware bout his advent.
These ahadith are clearer and more obvious than the fact that the sun shines during the day. They prove the fact that the Jews, the Christians, Zoroastrians and their priests intimated with the signs, qualities and the details of the birthplace of the Holy Prophet
from their revealed books i.e. Psalms, Gospel, Torah, Avasta etc. They were intensely waiting for his arrival with a hope that he will be born in Makkah and will be a true saviour of the human. Several of them accepted Islam as per their knowledge, but many remained deprived because of their jealousy, hostility, and disobedience.
After viewing all the evidence from the authentic sources, one is left with no choice but to believe in the fact that it was Prophet Muhammad
who was mentioned in the Torah, Gospel, Psalms, Avasta, Vedas, Granth, Tripitaka Holy Quran, Hadith etc. and that his message was the final message which verified the teachings of the previous prophets and provided a complete religion which encompassed every aspect of life i.e. Islam. It is this religion which is the key to success in this world and the hereafter. Hence we should believe in Prophet Muhammad
and his message so that we may be rewarded eternal happiness.
