Sulh Al-Hudaybiyah (صلح الحديبية)

Sulh Al-Hudaybiyah or Pact of Al-Hudaybiyah or Truce of Al-Hudaybiyah was taken place in Dhu Al-Q’adah, 6 A.H. between Muslims and polytheists. It was one of the most important diplomatic victories of Prophet Muhammad due to which the polytheists of Makkah gave political and religious recognition to the growing Muslim community of Madinah. Furthermore, as per this treaty, Muslims had the opportunity to spread Islam to other parts of Arabia, undeterred, as there was an armistice in place. Hence, within two years, after the treaty was signed, thousands entered in the fold of Islam.
