Shirk/Polytheism/Idolatory (شرک)
Published on: 10-Sep-2022Shirk is the opposite of Tauheed or monotheism and refers to associating any partner with Allah in his Godhood or Attributes. Associating parents or offspring to Allah Almighty is also Shirk. In English, Shirk is translated as polytheism and committing Shirk is the gravest sin in Islam, which is unforgivable, according to the Holy Quran.
