Murtad [font, alqalamreg, (مرتد)

This is a person who renounces Islam after accepting it. In an Islamic state, this apostate is given three days to ask any question or clarify doubts regarding any aspect of Islam. After three days despite having received satisfactory answers if he/she persists to remain apostate, the Muslim government has the legal right to execute him/her because he/she becomes a traitor of Allah, His Apostle and of the Muslim State. However, if the individual reverts to Islam, no punishment is applied.
