Munkar and Nakeer (منکر نکیر)

Munkar and Nakeer are the angels who work in pairs like the holy scribes, and they go to the people who have experienced death. They are the ones, tasked to give the first test to the people after their death. The test comprises of three questions, which pertain to God, faith and Prophet Muhammad . If the individual answers those questions correctly, he/she is rewarded with a peaceful sleep while those who can’t, are punished till the Day of Judgement.
