Mufti (مفتی)

It refers to the jurists of religious law who has the authority and knowledge to issue the religious verdict regarding any matter or question of Islamic law according to the Quran and Sunnah. This individual has the quality and ability to infer the solution of a problem either from the primary sources of Islamic law i.e., Quran and Sunnah or from the secondary sources like Qiyas, Ijma, Ijtihad etc.
