Farz-e-‘Aen (فرض العین)

Published on: 26-Dec-2023

It is an Arabic term signifying an individual obligation in Islamic jurisprudence. It refers to religious duties that every accountable and able-bodied Muslim is personally obligated to perform, such as the five daily prayers and fasting during Ramadan. This concept distinguishes individual responsibilities within the Muslim community from collective obligations (Farz-e-Kifaya).
