Bait-e-Ridwan (بیعتِ رضوان)

Published on: 03-Feb-2025

Bait-e-Ridwan or ‘Pledge of Satisfaction’ took place in Dhu Al-Q’adah, 6 A.H. before Sulh Al-Hudaybiyah or the Truce of Al-Hudaybiyah. This pledge is also known as Bait Ash Shajarah (بیعت الشجرۃ) because it was made beneath the tree. This pledge was made due to the rumor of Uthman’s sym-8 martyrdom by Quraish and for it, Prophet Muhammad sym-9 gathered his companions and asked them to make a pledge to fight against the polytheists till death.
