Bait-e-Ridwan or ‘Pledge of Satisfaction’ took place in Dhu Al-Q’adah, 6 A.H. before Sulh Al-Hudaybiyah or the Truce of Al-Hudaybiyah. This pledge is also known as Bait Ash Shajarah (بیعت الشجرۃ) because it was made beneath the tree. This pledge was made due to the rumor of Uthman’s martyrdom by Quraish and for it, Prophet Muhammad
gathered his companions and asked them to make a pledge to fight against the polytheists till death.
