Halal (حلال)

It is an Arabic term meaning "permissible" or "lawful" in Islamic law. In the context of food, it refers to items that are permissible for Muslims to consume, prepared and processed in accordance with Islamic dietary laws. The concept extends beyond food to various aspects of life, including business, finance, and ethical conduct, where products and services labeled as halal adhere to specific guidelines in compliance with Islamic principles. These guidelines have been issued by Allah Almighty and his Prophet . Some guidelines declare the things in a straightforward manner, while others indicate it indirectly. It is also the opposite of Haram (un-lawful).
