Farz-e-Kifaya (فرض الکفایہ)

It refers to a communal obligation where certain duties, if fulfilled by a sufficient number of people in the community, relieve others from the obligation. Examples include specific funeral rites or leading congregational prayers. If the community fails to fulfill these obligations, all members may share the consequences. This concept helps distinguish between individual and collective responsibilities within the Muslim community.
