The Holy Quran (قرآن الکریم)

Literally, the word Quran (قرآن) refers to the book which is recited the most. In Islamic terminology, the Holy Quran is a holy book, revealed upon Prophet Muhammad by Allah Almighty via Angel Gabriel, (Jibrael) gradually over a period of 23 years and written by his companions in the order prescribed by the Holy Prophet . This is the Holy Book of the Muslims and has remained uncorrupted since it was revealed, as the responsibility of protecting it was taken by Allah Almighty himself. It is also referred to as a Code of Life which is Co-extensive with nature, a Code which is capable of transforming every human act, however mundane in to a religious act till the end of times. This code of life ensures success for Humankind in this world and the hereafter.
